Lotions, Moisturizers and Creams! Oh My!

After what can only be described as a long and harsh winter, my skin has been in desperate need of some loving. I've rounded up my five most reached for moisturizing products to tell you a little bit about each of them. Not only do all of these work like a dream, but they also all smell so incredibly lovely.

First off, we have the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. I only got a small pot of this in a gift set and it's just about finished, but I fully intend to repurchase a larger pot of it. Let me tell you about the smell. Oh, it's amazing. I find myself just sniffing it throughout the day. It honestly smells good enough to eat. I'm horrible at describing scents but this one smells quite strongly of lime and reminds me almost of a margarita. So nice! It is a thick and rich body cream that absorbs fairly quickly and doesn't leave you with that annoying sticky feeling for ages after applying. I find that the scent lingers throughout the day and so does the moisture. I use this mostly on my arms, legs and torso.

Second, is the Lush Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion. I think since purchasing this back in December Lush have gone and changed up the scent a bit. So, I haven't tried their *new* Charity Pot, but I'm guessing it's quite similar aside from the smell. This one smells mostly of cocoa butter and the scent is much more subtle than Soap & Glory Sugar Crush. The scent does fade quite quickly after applying, but the difference in the way your skin feels is very noticeable. It is so rich and can be quite greasy, a little definitely goes a long way. I like to use this on my feet (especially when my heels get dry and cracked). Also, 100% of the price (minus the taxes) of this lotion goes "to small, grassroots organizations working in the areas of environmental conservation, animal welfare and human rights." Which is quite cool.

Probably one of my most favourite products of all time (and without a doubt the best smelling) is my Farmhouse Fresh Whoopie! Shea Butter hand cream. It smells soooooo wonderful, just like a buttercream cake. It is 90% natural, vegan, Paraben and Sulfate free and chock full of moisturizing ingredients like Shea butter, Jojoba and Soybean oils. I get such dry hands after each work shift and once I use some Whoopie! my hands are left super soft. This stuff ticks all the right boxes: delicious scent, incredibly moisturizing and beautiful packaging! I will definitely repurchase once I'm finished and I am very interested in trying some of the other Farmhouse Fresh scents.

I've been using EOS lip balms for a few years now and I think they're quite wonderful. The one pictured above is Pink Grapefruit and came in a limited edition set of three for the Holidays and I don't think it's available anymore. However they have quite the selection of scents available for purchase. I love the spherical design and how nicely it glides onto my lips - it feels so nice going on that I don't mind reapplying during the day. It keeps my lips quite moisturized during the day and I also like using this before applying my lipstick for a smooth application.

And finally, the second Lush product of the bunch - Vanishing Cream Facial Moisturizer! I haven't even been using this for a full month but I already love it so much. I have incredibly oily skin and finding a facial moisturizer that doesn't leave me feeling too greasy is difficult. One of the ladies in the Lush store recommended this to me and it's perfect. It is so light and absorbs into my skin so quickly. It's made with witch hazel which can help get rid of blemishes and grape seed oil to keep your skin nice and soft. I have definitely noticed a difference since using this stuff. The appearance of my skin has improved and any blemishes I get seem to go away pretty quickly. It smells great too, like lavender which is nice. It also works great as a base for makeup.

So, that's my roundup of my favourite moisturizing products. What are some of your favourites? Let me know in the comments! I'm always looking for something new to try.
